Why ChargeBreak exists
Anyone travelling electrically spends twenty to forty minutes at a place the charger picked. Whether there is a bakery, a playground or a meadow for the dog nearby is in no charging app – and becomes decisive as soon as children, a dog or an appointment ride along.
ChargeBreak turns the question around: not “Where is the next free charger?” but “Where do I take the best break here?” The charge point is the prerequisite, not the destination.
What we stand for
- Honesty over gloss. We name gaps in the data instead of covering them up.
- Traceability. The rating is documented; every number can be recomputed.
- Open data. We stand on the shoulders of the OpenStreetMap and Open Charge Map communities and credit them.
- Restraint. No tracking, no cookies without need, no fonts from third-party servers.
What ChargeBreak is not
Not a charging app, not a navigation system, not a review portal. We do not sell charging tariffs and show no invented availability.
State of development
ChargeBreak is an early version. The limits are listed openly under How it works. Feedback is explicitly welcome.
